Latex Template for APEC diagest[edit]

Please find the latex format (unofficial) for APEC 2017 diagest with following features,

  1. Single Column
  2. Double Spacing
  3. Compact image positioning

File:APEC Diagest.zip

Let's take an Example Code,

Image Preparing for Publication[edit]

Q1=400;
Q2=400;
k=0.01:0.01:0.9;
FOM=k.^2*Q1*Q2;
for i=1:length(k)
PTE(i)=FOM(i)/(1+sqrt(1+FOM(i)))^2;
end

%Set the following parameters accordingly
FontSize=10;
NumberOfColumn=2
ImageWidth=7/NumberOfColumn; %3.45 for Double Column or two image side by side on a single column paper, 7 for full width signle column image, 3.
ImageHeight=ImageWidth*.75; %Change the ratio if you need
Zoom=3; %set higher value for higher resolution, but don't if your screen size is small

 h = figure(1)
set(h,'DefaultTextFontsize',Zoom*FontSize, ...
    'DefaultTextFontname','Times New Roman', ...
    'DefaultAxesFontsize',Zoom*FontSize, ...
    'DefaultAxesFontname','Times New Roman', ...
    'DefaultLineLineWidth', Zoom)

figure(1)
plot(k,PTE*100,'-r*','LineWidth',Zoom)
set(gcf, 'Units','inch', 'Position',[0 0 ImageWidth*Zoom ImageHeight*Zoom])
hold on;
%legend('Legend 1','Legend 2','Location','southwest')
hold off;
grid minor;
grid on;

xlabel('Coupling Coefficient (k)','FontName','Times New Roman','FontSize',Zoom*FontSize)
ylabel('Transmission efficiency [%]','FontName','Times New Roman','FontSize',Zoom*FontSize)
%title('Test Plot','FontName','Times New Roman','FontSize',Zoom*FontSize,'FontWeight','bold')
%Use 'FontWeight','bold' if you want to make bold

You will get a figure which is "Zoom" times larger in size. If you write in Latex, it will be automatically taken cared of. If you write in MS Word, you just need to reduce the image size by 1/"Zoom" times and all the font will come to the font size you want with quite acceptable resolution.

The Generated Figure and the reduced size figure looks like these.

সমীকরণ[edit]

রেফারেন্স[edit]

One of the main reason, you want to write in latex is because it saves your ass from the pain of manual formatting of reference..
